Just an FYI, this was a first for me.
Lot's of problems with the computer the last month. The screen became slow, repainting took a long time, Screen was flashing at times. Computer wouldn't shut down right or start up right at times.
I tried everything, virus scans, video cable change, settings change, nothing worked.
It turned out the fan on the video card failed and stopped working. When I went to pull the card it was so hot I couldn't touch it. Go figure, this is a first for me on something like that. The fan and heat sink were on the underside so i couldn't see them nor could I see the fan running but the amount of heat on the card tipped me off.
I pulled the card, used the on board video and back in business. Go figure.
