Not in this day and age...
not so my friend!!!! you believe that since the battery case is plastic, it wont drain the battery charge? BUT THE COLD CONCRETE, dont care, if its plastic or asphalt/rubber compound, the temp will slow down the electrolysis of the battery.........and prolong contact with the cold floor....will result in a dead battery.

i saw this post title the other day, i was busy and in a position where i couldnt read every thread and just made an assumption about what this thread was going to be about...only to open it and find out it wasn't what i assumed.

i have two clients that are TOTALLY battling static electricity and are convinced one of the primary issues is that they are surrounded by concrete..i don't know if it is or not i am not a scientist. but my assumption was that this is what this topic was going to be about..

myself i bought myself a pair of leather CROCS that are OH SO NICE...and i hated CROCS thought they were the goofiest things ever, but these leather one's are incredible i feel like i am walking on clouds even on concrete.

A battery does care if the cold surface its placed on is plastic, metal or concrete.

B you didn't take the advice offered in that last paragraph of the first linked artcle:

Grandfather Clause
You may now be thinking that you know more than your grandfather, who tells you that batteries stored on concrete will be damaged. Next time your grandfather says that, I recommend that you just say "Okay" and continue about your business. I’m a grand-father now, and I know that we like to have our way and we like to be right. If my grandson, for instance, tries to tell me that concrete won’t damage a battery, you know what I’ll say? I’ll say if you drop a battery on concrete, it will be damaged.
