Haven't watched that competition in quite a while but I like to see what they're using. Boat tech is absolutely insane now.

If Admiral Nelson had boat like these he could have run down the line of French and Spanish ships with cannons blazing, made a sharp turn and run down the line again
The technology, design and construction, has come a long way in the last 10 years.

Like the boat that used a cycling team to power hydraulic pumps to run everything from rigging to rudder. That was a couple years ago IIRC. I found that one especially intriguing.

The Italians, New York Yacht Club and the English teams put boats together to sail against the New Zealand Team. Italy beat the contenders and then were beaten by New Zealand. It all was done in New Zealand.
