Connecting to SBS 2011 Standard

Anybody know of a workaround when it comes to joining a domain and connecting to sbs 2011 on windows home operating systems?

Nope, can't think of any. Pro or Ultimate.

You can still share files, just no domain.

Not possible for it to "join" the domain. Period. Best you can do on the home machine is to set it's workgroup name to the domains name at which point you shoudl at leats be able to see the other computers. If the server and other computers are shared and have the permissions set to no-password guest access it might be able to access those shares. Even if they have a password though the home box should be able to connect using a valid domain credential in the form of "domain\user" with the password.
