convert back to ecosol max from mega ink

i am thinking about converting our roland sc540 back to ecosol... we are currently using MegaInk CMYKOG and i love the color gamut but tech support number is disconnected and the smell and fumes are too much. also the megaink doesn't seem to hold up to UV as well as the original inks.

anyone know what i would need to do to get the conversion done... i had to change pumps and wipers when we switched to mega..

i know i will have to flush the system but am not real sure of the procedure.. would i flush with mega's solution then flush again with rolands ecosol solution?

Someone else jump in here but I would flush with the Mega solution, then manually syringe the remaining solution out... then plug in roland cleaning solution and manually pull through. Once all the way through, I would change the dampers and cap stations. Then load and pull the eco-sol max ink through. The wiper and pump should hold up fine.

+1 for Bobby. Chuck the old dampers and caps after you pull the roland cleaner in, so the ink has fresh new dampers and caps.

Agree with Bobby. I worked for MegaInk for 2 1/2 years as a tech and color profiling specialist. Bobby's instructions are spot on the way we did it.

Hearing stuff like this makes me glad that I decided to go with Solaris. If you are interested, I have been VERY happy with my Solaris ink. Bobby at Ciber Supply will treat you right too! I am using the same profiles and I think the colors look better than the OEM Roland. I actually just reprinted some business cards that I make for myself and with the Solaris inks, my blacks are a deeper and truer black. I love it.

Jim i am pretty sure you are who i spoke with a few years back when we switched to the megaink CMYKOG... you built the profiles for us for the roland. You were extremely helpful back then and i thank you for your help then.
is there still a mega ink presence in the US? i can't ever get in contact with anyone?

does anyone know if there is ecosol ink CMYKOG? i love the color gamut but hate the fumes from the solvent inks.
