I have a jv33 that runs great but haven’t been able to sell which I was then going to buy a dye sub printer from part of it so I am wondering is it feasible to even doable to convert my solvent jv33 printer to dye sub or am I just better off forgoing it and getting a dye sub printer, I don’t need anything huge but would need to do at least a 2x3 print with it so again would prob need a larger printer then a desktop type

many help or ideas is appreciated - also if someone wants to trad e hit me up lol

JV33 is great printer and very simple to convert. Just you must flush all ink related parts with Solvent Cleaning fluid, than with water based cleaning fluid and then you can start using Dye Sublimation inks. You can consider about changid SS21 chips to Sb53 to change voltage on the printhead optimised to Dye Sublimation inks.

We use Solvent cleaner plus waterbase sublimation cleaner and we flush all lines twice. First solvent, than waterbase and again solvent and waterbase. Sure you must leave cleaning fluid inside for long time to work. You are right that new dampers are needed and cheap. But printhead if it is in 100% good shape can be cleaned and used wiuthout any problems.
