Cookie stencil material

Using a Roland vp540, how can I cut a cookie stencil?

The machine can cut vinyl but I'm not sure how much thicker it can cut. I cant use vinyl because it will stretch and distort the cutout so I was thinking something thicker but something that the 45 or 60-degree blade can cut?

What is a cookie stencil? For decorating cookies? If so, your best tool is probably a Cricut. Or even one of those hand cranked embossing/die cutting tools that crafters use to make fancy greeting cards (and cookie stencils).
