Epsons 80600 , colorados, laminators and summas in action
Pretty Cool
Pretty Cool
I bet they're hating that LTT orange color requiring the more complicated manufacturing process. Print on Epson, laminate, print on Colorado vs just doing 1 pass on the Colorado like I guess they do on most color schemes that can be printed withe CMYK onlyChoice of equipment is good. Although with that many summas, I'd be looking at more auto automated workflows. Each to their own though. They definitely had help picking their equipment.
I would guess that their average product run is pretty small, Thousands of designs x hundreds of devices = a ton of inventory. I wouldn't be surprised if some stuff is printed/cut to orderChoice of equipment is good. Although with that many summas, I'd be looking at more auto automated workflows. Each to their own though. Possibly, but i reckon they have a lot more SKUs with a similar process. maybe without the 2nd print process.I bet they're hating that LTT orange color requiring the more complicated manufacturing process. Judging from their site, there'd not many colourways. But there's a lot of devices to skin. But because the items are all small, it's not hard to keep 5-10x of each sku which is a lot easier to do than do it on demand. they have a lot of storage you can see in their video.I would guess that their average product run is pretty small, Thousands of designs x hundreds of devices = a ton of inventory. at that many machines, that's quite normal, and good. They are not too far from us, our grimco tech told me that they bought all their summa f1612s from them, but they don't allow the grimco tech to touch them, they have an in house guy who dials them in and keeps them running perfectly.
I wonder how many people they have running these cutters, I think they have around 10-12 f1612 cutters.at that many machines, that's quite normal, and good.
an inhouse guy to change blades, change belts, and make sure the machines are running 100%
would mean the operators are just cutting and not worried about the tooling.
It's a collaboration color with ltt, I'm sure they'll sell alot but considering how many phone cases you'll get out of one roll it is probably no where near enough to make a custom vinyl color vs printing.Actually, now that I think about it, why wouldn't they just get the orange colour custom made by 3M, I'm sure they use enough of it.
Also, how would you kiss cut vinyl with that heavy embossing? The knife on the summa is spring loaded so it wouldn't have consistent blade depth on that stuff.
I wonder how loud it is with all those running, impressive microphones in the video to cancel out all that noiseI wonder how many people they have running these cutters, I think they have around 10-12 f1612 cutters.
It's not that the ink is thick, it's that the circuit board design is raised, so the thickness is inconsistent. It's a collaboration color with ltt, I'm sure they'll sell alot but considering how many phone cases you'll get out of one roll it is probably no where near enough to make a custom vinyl color vs printing.
I don't think the thick ink would cause any kiss cutting problems, negligible compared to the vinyl/lam thickness
Lol yes Linus is pretty much like blippy for nerds. Turned down $100M offer to purchase his channel/company(is he like Blippy for adult nerds..?)
Having watched several several linus vids over the years, and far more Blippy videos in the background, I'm dumbfounded I never made the connection. He does tech reviews and covers whatever 'controversy' of the day is, mostly just him pimping his house repeatedly, and somehow not making his fanbase feel like a bunch of broke jokers in comparison.(is he like Blippy for adult nerds..?)
Holy, that's impressive. Good for him.Lol yes Linus is pretty much like blippy for nerds. Turned down $100M offer to purchase his channel/company
