corel 12 strage things happening

when using corel 12, if i make a box and then try to resize the box, i get a copy or a "ghost" image of the box left behind. if i refresh the screen it will go away. I have looked at every setting but cant seem to figure it out. it has become a real problem to try and design around this. I have to refresh the page very often and its not fun!
any ideas?

I just use the mouse wheel to zoom in and back to get rid of "leftovers"...fast.
