Countertop Wrap - Material Suggestions

Hey all,
First post on the forum, longtime reader, just now getting into posting.

I am looking for a better material set to use for counter top wraps, I have been using various vinyl and overlam combinations for the past 2 years and am now starting to see what I need / don't need. If anyone has experience in a similar type of application and insight for best materials it would be greatly appreciated.

Quick rundown of what I have been using:
Mactac Rebel 4mil (Matte finish) vinyl + Mactac Permaflex IP6200 Overlam (very strong stuff).

I use these for retail counter tops where heavy packages and bottles get rung up all day. So the durable overlaminate helps in this situation. Right now I am looking for a more suitable vinyl, something that has a nice strong adhesive that can be applied in a variety of situations (unfinished wood all the way to heavily laminated particle board).

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Always looking for new ways to do things.

I did about 15 table tops using Oracal floor laminate. I guess
it worked, 3 years and customer hasn't complained.

Thanks for the replies guys. @Steve C. : I have used floor laminate on some counters as well, and I agree it works like a charm. A bit hard to keep down on corners, but a solid solution for sure.

Can anyone recommend a vinyl with a strong and versatile adhesive? I am trying to see if there is a better overall solution then our Mactac Rebel 4mil. It does not adhere that well to low energy surfaces, anywhere from plastics to particle board. We are going to start trying out 3M IJ160C as an alternative, and see how that works out. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I've been using Catalina 6 mil wall graphic vinyl for counters. It's got a good strong adhesive, but still removable and re-positionable. Also comes in 8mil.

I have printed a bunch of counter-top decals about 24" x 24" for a large home improvement store, using textured laminate and it worked very nicely. They have versions that work with both latex inks and solvent inks.
