Create a halftone gradient for an EDGE in Flexi?

How does one go about creating a gradient that will print successfully with the edge using a spot color? If I ever add a gradient it automatically spits everything out in CMYK wherever the gradient is. How would I go about using a halftone pattern to allow for the fade but still allowing me to use a spot color etc?

I have the newest version of Flexi but I'm used to printing on a versacamm and now I'm also using it to run my Edge 2...

Thanks for any help!

Load a spot color table/palette, go to the fill/stroke editor and select single spot or double spot color for the gradient fill. (you probably have rgb or cmyk selected for the gradient fill)
