credit cards

I use an air miles Visa card and although I pay $120 a year for it, I put just about everything on it.

I have accumulated plenty of air miles and they also offer products.

I have my eye on a beautiful gas BBQ 1000 sq in cooking area and every conceivable extra u could want!!!!

That or 2 first class tickets to Europe both ways.....

I'm with Gabagoo! For business, I use the Visa Aeroplan Gold for small business. For personal, we use the Visa Infinity Aeroplan card. All of my paper purchases go on this Visa and boy, the points add up very fast! We used points last fall to fly first class to Rome for our Transatlantic cruise. Now we're saving for another first class flight (and then some) for our Mediterranean Cruise in October 2011!! :rock-n-roll: I think you guys in the U.S. have so many more options to choose from when it comes to credit cards... tough choice to make unless you know exactly what you're after!

I absolutely refuse to take American Express cards at my business. They are double the discount rate of the others, and I refuse to pay it!

Debit cards are treated the same as credit cards.

What's the matter with a debit card?
The best part of going with a debit card is that you are less likely to to fall prey to the endless debt of Credit Cards. The cost of a check is so little when compared to the interest on a credit card balance.

I dont' understand why a business pays for credit card fees anyways.

Find a processor with NO monthly minimum/statement fees/etc.

Build an extra 3-4% into your price EVERY TIME.

Offer a "Cash Discount" for people who pay without a CC.

Easy - and you never have to hold the bag on the cost of CC transactions.

Do any of you that do take credit cards mind that you pay a higher fee for those rewards cards?

Sure, getting air miles or whatever is nice, but the merchant pays extra for you.
