Custom cut boxes

So I've been asked a few times about doing these. Just for small products and small runs (50-300).
Now I'm thinking 12mil is pretty substantial but not sure if it's quite thick enough. I'd be printing eco-solvent but I'm sure my SP-540V just wouldn't be able to handle the cutting. So I'm eyeing a standalone cutter.

Is anyone doing these and can give me recommendations or point me to resources?

We have done some custom cut boxes. We use a Zund cutter/router.

I do these with my Summa F. It has worked great!
