Customer wants to look out and no one to see in Day and Night

Pub has windows on the second floor in hallway next to the washrooms. They would like to be able to see outside and have privacy inside. We applied window perf with a digital image. This works during the day, but at night you can see in, even thought the hallway has dimmed lighting. Any suggestions

black out the window and install a camera.

you can install spot lights on the exterior of the building and shine it towards the window, this will help with creating a night privacy barrier.

Whichever side of the glass that has more illumination is going to be the side with the most visibility.
Think about any TV / Movie you have seen with the famed suspect line up, the viewing room is ALWAYS dark and the line up room is ALWAYS very bright

Light Test

We did some testing on our shop windows and lighting the window perf from outside at night did not help. We lit directly on the window and on an angle. Nothing seemed to work.

Instal skylights and board up the walls.

Besides, whoever heard of windows in a public bathroom inside a building ??

Tinting the windows more, MIGHT help.
Otherwise, as someone mentioned lighting from the outside, is going to be best bet, and or mix with shades/angled / tint.
