my favorite is popular photo/poster sizes.... "make my 20x30 shape into an 18x24" --- if cropping doesn't work for an item I'll sometimes stretch a certain part of the image that is unimportant.... like some trees in the background. If it works for the image and looks alright, 99% of the time the customer never knows. We do a lot of postcards this way. We get an EXACT 4"x6" with full bleed with no extra bleed data on the edges.... time for photoshop fun!
