cut carriage cable replacement on SP300V

I need to replace this cable as it has split and is making a slapping noise.

when it wasn't too bad I remedied the problem by using dry 3M silicone spray on the metal rails but it's beyond that now.

I've read a few prior posts through the search but just wanted any suggestions for a successful replacement from anyone that has done this.

Are there any adjustments or calibrations I have to do after the install?

no adjustment to do other then the physical adjustment of the belt, too much tention and it'll slap, too much slack and it'll fold. you'll be able to eyeball it once you get the new one in.
