Discussion Cut through to save time

Ok guys, we make alot of decals on a laminated material. All of the decals hav a few 1/2"-1" circles in the middle. Currently weeding takes up the far majority of our time. I am wanting to cut these circles directly through the vinyl as well as the backing paper so thy just fall out or at-least pop out easily.

What angle blade would you use for this? I am thinking 60 degree?

Any other tips or things to try to make this happen?

We use summa s2 160T cutters btw.

Circles are not ideal but it can be done, and a 60 degree works best from my trials. It will dull your blade much faster than normal cutting.

If the material thickness is less than 0.25 mm or the pressure to cut it is not too high I suggest you the 36° Double Tip blade (code 390-551) otherwise the 45° Double Wedge (code 390-560).
With a 60° knife you will be using a lower pressure but it will consume much more quickly.
