Hello there. My illustrator updated the other day, after said update the CM4 plug-in was causing it to crash after some research i found that i would need to upgrade to CM5 until Graphtec fixes CM4.

At random times after a plott, the plotter will feed out a large amount of material. it also seems that some of the functions in the UI just dont work. I also get off scale errors randomly even after getting pole size and making sure there is no scaling happening.

Is this just a case of a buggy new software or am i doiung something wrong?

Graphtec will not fix CM4. But I have not found anything wrong with on the latest Mac version of Illustrator.

CM5 is an entirely new program from Graptec and they will fix it.

I'm avoiding CM5 for the moment until until I learn more about it. You can always install an older version of Illustrator that will work with the CM4 plug-in.

I gave that a shot but even going back to illustrator (26.0) the plug in was causing a crash so i went to uninstrall the software to see if i could reinstall it but it seems Cm4 has been removed from the website or am i just not seeing where to download it?

In a production environment it is not a good thing to allow any software to update itself or remove previous versions if and when you choose to do an update or upgrade. Also saving old installers should be done.
