cutting mat

Waiting for a new cutting mat teflon to get here, any advise as to what I could use in the mean time to get my plotter working? Have you ever put vinyl/laminate or tape on the strip to help for the short-term?

Thick laminate over the top of the old one will help a little bit but it's still going to make the blade wobble. It's like sticking new vinyl over the old ripped vinyl its going to be a little better but still going to be able to feel the cuts underneath. Make sure your blades aren't cutting through the paper either.

If you have a large plotter you can cut off the bad part and replace it with the good part further down the plotter. This is if your are only cutting small rolls that wont go past what you removed.
