Question cutting smaller media than machine size

I have a HP 115 54" printer cutter and have never tried printing on anything but 54" substrates. I seen a deal on 42" wallpaper but am reluctant to buy

You can print any media size between 500 and 1372mm ( 280 to 1372mm when using small media mode)
