Cutting Substrates

Looking at buying a wall mounted cutter such as the Fletcher FSC but from what I can gather it can only cut 65". Does anybody know of something similar that will make 8' or 12' cuts? I don't have a great deal of space so a vertical cutter would suit best.

Thanks but I'd prefer something debris-free if possible rather than a panel saw. Is there anything similar to the wall mounted cutters that cut horizontally to do longer cuts?

We have this one in a 65" version, but it's also available in a 85" version. www.fosterkeencut.com/Products/CuttersTrimmers/VerticalMultiSubstrateCutters/SteelTraK.aspx

Great tool that gets used every day. Also comes with 5 year warranty which is pretty impressive. A few months ago the cable assembly for the counter weight broke on us and they flew out the part next day, free of charge.

I was looking into these and would love to have one, but 96" is the magic number in most sheet goods. even at 85" it comes almost a full foot short of handling a rip the long way on a a 4'x8' sheet of material. Don't get me wrong I know these are great tools just saying I don't see many 8 foot options on the market that don't involve a saw blade.

Our sign makers vertical panel saw package includes a knife cutter attachment that takes the place of the Makita circular saw - allowing for completely dust free cuts. We have an ACM cutter as well. The inserts only takes seconds to switch out. You can rip cut or cross cut allowing you to make 96" cuts. The Sign Makers package includes a folding stand but it can be mounted to the wall to improve floor space.

Depending on your needs, the knife cutter works with any of our saws so if you did not need the circular saw or the dust collection included with the sign maker package our basic series may be the way to go. It is basically just the carriage and the frame and you can add the cutter you need - in your case the knife cutter.
