Hey guys, Moving into a bigger place within the next week and a half. I will have room for a real laminator and really want to get one.
I'll be using it to laminate prints and to occasionally pre-mask if i have a long run. The BS i am using works good for small stuff but if i have a longer run like over 6', I can't do it due to my table size and then with the silvering and all. I could get a larger table but i do want a laminator to speed up things.
I'm on a budget and can't really afford one that is 3,4,5 grand so the daige solo 38" looks like a good one to get. My business partner has a quickmount 4 and it works good for him. He prints waterbased and then overlaminates posters and such.
Does anyone who has this model have tips or anything i should know before buying?
I seen to laminate prints you pretty much need a "sled" to put the prints on, Can't you just not use a sled and use the bottom metal platten?
Thanks!
