Dehumidifier

Do you guys use them in your shops? I seem to be having a problem with moisture where the printer & laminator are at. The laminate starts to get slack, or wrinkles. The room the stuff in is about 20' x 30' and was just trying to get any input.

Thanks!

We had a 70 pint that finally bit the dust. Our boss wouldn't let us replace it even though i pleaded with him. Finally he brought in a 30 pint and it runs constantly and the room is still at 60% humidity. it also fills up after like 3 hours and i have to dump it constantly. the worst is when its the weekend ( like today) and it fills up on friday night.

we also keep our a/c at 70% to help combat the humidity. our building has more holes then swiss cheese though.

for the brands that we carry, the data sheets say on thier data sheets to keep humidity around 50% which is tough when its like 110% humidity outside.

i think the noticeable difference is in the media in the printer. when its humid, it tends to curl and get wavy. also it takes longer to cure fully...

so, yeah. i'd get one.

We run 2 65 pint dehumidifiers in the summer and 3 humidifiers in the winter to keep the shop at 40 to 45% year round. It eliminates a ton of issues having a consistent environment.
