Digital Lines Then No Print....

Hello Guys,

I have uploaded some images for you to review at your convenience. My printer (1604) is not putting out any ink at all. The first thing I printed in the morning is what you see in the images. The wider "scribble" is from a print sent via Wasatch and the narrower "scribble" is from a nozzle check ran from the VJ itself. I decided to turn the printer off and then restart, but once I tried a new nozzle check and print, now no ink comes out at all.

I ran a clean and everything is running fine on that end. I have no idea what could have caused this so any ideas you could have would be welcome so I can begin some troubleshooting of the problem.

cheers,
jc

these long horizontal lines are usually printed by a fried head, or a head with ink leaking onto it, or a head with loose or wet data cables (the loose cable issue looks slightly different). shut the printer down from the front, then from the back, then unplug, then push the power button on the front four times slowly. inspect your head carriage. pull your data ribbons to see if any ends are bent over or wet with ink and plug them in firmly and level both at the head and board. look around for an ink leak. you could have more serious damage about to occur at the main board if you get some serious shorts.

Update...

Turns out the F2 fuse on the motherboard had blown and had to replace the head and the fuse. Everything is printing great again.
