Digital Printer - Lowest Price...Entry Level....Smallest?

Can anyone help me? I am wanting to get into digital printing and am looking at possibly buying a printer. Is there possibly a small printer I can buy 12"? what does everyone reccomend. I currently have an older 40" Roland cutter/printer. But the yellow printhead is gone. It's quite old and I was told might not be worth trying to fix. I still use it as a cutter. Anyone got some good advice?

I have a ValueJet 628 24" and so far it's been good. We're a small mom and pop deal and 24" was big enough for us, besides being able to print banners.

What is the majority of your business. That will depend on what printer you would want to get. If all you do is stickers you might want to look at a Gerber machine. If you want the ability to print on a broader range of substrates you might want to step up to something bigger. 12" is really small in my opinion, but then again I do bigger signs.

Also, I wouldn't shoot for what I need. If your going to spend money on a printer. Get one that will out perform for what you need. So that you can expand with it and not have to buy a new machine every year because you keep growing and your printer can't handle it. Unless your happy where you are and have no plans to grow.
