Distance between "Custom Sheet" option?

Is there any way to chance the distance between sheets when using "custom sheet" size option? On our old 30" printer, there was only about 1" distance between sheets but on our new 54" seems there's between three and four inches between sheets...just a waste of material. When we're doing sticker runs with six sheets, that's another 18"-24" of vinyl being wasted just because of the gap between sheets.

Even when we print one job, base point and print the next job manually, it still rolls it forward and it seems like there's three to four inches between jobs.

Not really a huge deal, just wondering if there's a way to change it.

If it takes more than 1 minute to save 45 cents worth of material...... forget it. Just charge for the needed off-all and be done with it.

Gosh the more the more and I use versaworks and look for certain functions, the more and more I miss the greyed out stuff LOL. I need to pay attention more ;)

When clicking page spacing, it enables overprint 1-2-3 times...if overprint is set to 1, this is just normal printing correct? We use overprint-2 times when printing clear.

And it has less to do about saving money as it does just about saving resources in general...I try not to be as wasteful as I can.

You're missing the point....impact on the planet. Anything we can do, even if it's 4" at a time, to help is good. My time to check one box while configuing a versaworks print job is hardly 1 second.

Okay, than that's different. Don't throw it in your dumpster...... throw it in your neighbors dumpster and then you can sleep at night.

Seriously, if you wanna be more attentive to that sorta thing, then instead of trying to figure out how to save inches of media..... if you're time isn't worth it, then better use your time figuring out how to nest your jobs better and then gang your jobs together all week long and do your printing on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday or whatever schedule suits your needs best. Instead of wasting media one job at a time, you'll only have one waste, front and back, resulting from one large continuous job. :cool1:

Yes the page space option was what I was looking for. Thank you! Changes page spacing between sheets and also changes the distance after even a single print job so even when sheet cutting or hitting print again, the distance is whatever you set the "page space" to. 20mm seems to be good as it gives us the ability to run a safety knife through and cut the previous sheet off while the printer is still running. 10mm is a bit too small of a gap.

Changed it on Queue A and Queue B so it's now a default.

THANK YOU
