Do I need to find the wall studs for this interior sign ?

Hello fellow sign makers.

As mentioned in a previous post, one of my customers has requested for a 2’x3’ acrylic sign, 1/4 inch thickness.

i will be installing this interior sign using standoffs.

My question is: do I need to find the wall studs for something this size to be safe and stable on an interior wall? (Office space)

What weight would constitute drilling into the wall studs? Is there a general rule?

Thank you again!

on that size you should be fine with these anchors. I use the big ones. these things are strong

Agree with this. They are quite strong. If you are using stand offs in the middle, you could always put those in a stud for extra support.

No need to find a stud. Most basic wall anchors hold around 30 to 50 lb each.

The oversized holes in the acrylic allow for all the adjustment you need.
