Do you ever get this pop up in Flexi?

I use my Flexi primarily for printing and I use the pantone coated colour chart all the time for selecting colours.

Today as I might see 2 to 3 times a week when shutting down the program a pop up message about one of the pantone colours having been changed and do I want to save it. Absoulutely NOT, and i click no and the program continues to shut down. If i save it, then all my charts are for nothing and I wont be able to match certain colours in the future.

I just came up with this horrible thought today after 5 years of doing this.... if i changed one of those colours to better match the colour I needed for a corporate logo or anything for that matter, by saying no to saving that colour change to the colour bar does that mean the next time I open that particular file that it will default to the original colour?

Please say no......... gulp

Yes. When you change a color save it as the different name. You will be asked to save the change save it. Next time you open the colors you should see your original colors and the new one also.

If you want to change the color permanately you must make your changes and save it. If you want to use the Color in the future you must make a copy of it by selecting NEW in the pallette and then make your changes to the new color and save your changes when Flexi asks you to when shutting it down. If you click on NO when asked to save changes when shutting down, the changes to existing colors and any new colors will not be available when that palette is opened again.

To answer your question though, I think as long as you saved your files that you made adjustments to colors in they should open up with changes you made, irregardless of whether you saved the color in your palette or not. I have created many pattern fills that I have never saved to a palette but when I open that file again the pattern fill is still there. The same holds true with solid colors or gradients also.
