Does anyone know the Mutoh Vertelith RIP? Is this an OEM-version of a known commercial RIP? How stable does it work?

Never heard of it. It might be an EU only thing. They still use Flexi over here in the US.

Guess I haven't been to training in a while!

I haven't used it yet but all new printers from Mutoh America are coming with it and Flexi Designer. Mutoh America put together this training course that goes over the software. I also found on https://www.globalgraphics.com/news#2020 that this is the same rip engine that Mimaki is using with Rasterlink 7.

Yes, have heard that they use the Harlequin RIP Engine, as mimaki does too.

We were actually installing the Vertelith on Mutoh 661UF today. It rips pretty fast, color came out well. Installation to be continued tomorrow.

I have been using it for a couple of days. Doing testing with it on a VJ-1638X. Seems pretty intuitive. Rips quick and generic profiles are printing nice. I have had a couple issues with it locking up after I play with it and make some changes. After restart it comes back.
