Double sided clear adhesive sheets

I have some decals the are all about 4" x 5" and I want to mount them on the inside of the glass windows.

I am looking for a double sided adhesive with a clear for the face side that does not need to be run through a lamination.

I would prefer just a peel and stick product.

I have been looking for the Therm O Web double sided adhesive sheets that are sold in craft stores but cannot seem to find a store that has it in stock anymore.

This is for a prototype design we are trying out.

Thanks for any help you can offer. Jim

This may or may not help.
Years ago I used a product called "print mount" which had adhesive on both sides.
We usually applied it to the back of paper prints to give them an adhesive back for mounting to foamboard, etc...
So basically it was just a layer of adhesive.
Don't remember if the adhesive was optically clear or not though....don't think it was.
Think is was Seal brand.
If you have a place locally that does photography mounting in house, maybe you could get a small amount from them to try.

Fixon Optically Clear is what we use. Comes in a roll. Mount like laminate to first piece, then mount that to other piece same way.

And also...it sounds what you want to be doing is printing on clear, mirror image, and then backing with white, so you can mount inside on glass. I don't see why you would want double stick on an already adhesive product.

Drytac Facemount

I have been using Drytac Facemount and it works perfectly.

Only problem with the product is it comes 30" x 75 yards and larger. It is simply way more then we need for what we are doing.

After checking a number of craft type stores and websites we found a product called Peel n Stick which also worked well with one problem and that is the paper that mounts to the back side of the decal is also white and what we really need is a clear on the face and on the back side.

The reason I don't print on clear with the image reversed is because right now I have thousands of images that were made to be installed on the outside of glass, metal and other substrates.

Maybe ever 50th customer decides they want to image on the inside of the glass so the simple solution is a product just like Drytac Facemount but sold in small sizes.

I am sure there is a product out there that would fit our needs and it's just a matter of finding it.

When using Drytac Facemount material we find apply it my hand without the use of a lamina tor works just fine. We have tested this for the past few months and it looks just like it did the first day we put in on the glass in the direct sun light here in Florida.

If you know of any other similar product that might work please let me know.

Thanks Jim Hill

Good question

First step is to separate the two sides of the optically clear Facemount material The sticker is taken off it's backing material and applied to the adhesive side and then the clear front side of the Facemount material put on the face of the decal.

Sounds complicated but it really is very easy and the great part is no air bubbles.

Keep in mind that we are only doing a few of these at a time.

98% of the products we have are mounted on the exterior of different substrates.

Still don't understand what happens with the initial decal's adhesive side....you leave the liner on and hope no one peels it? SO you are taking a regular printed decal, applying adhesive to the face, and they stick that on a window facing out? So on the surface of the decal once applied is the liner showing. I don't get it.
