Drytac Vinyls

What is the general concensus on Drytac vinyl? I like that they are made in Canada, and the price point is pretty good, but the sample rolls I've been sent have shrunk signifacantly on the roll, I printed their polar grip media, laminated it and then sliced through the vinyl and left it, in 2 weeks it shrunk by over 1/16" and looks awful. The sales rep says this is normal as the backer paper is meant to release easily, but my other brands of vinyl don't act this way.

This stuff is supposed to have a 7 year outdoor lifespan, I'm not sure how much I believe that.

Anyone have some long term experience with the polar range of vinyls from drytac who can speak to its durability and quality?

Cheers!

I'm a big Drytac distributor....I've had really nothing but success with their products with the exception of one they are working on improving. I love the cold-weather application capabilities as well (as do my customers....the installers - not so much). Polar Grip sticks like grim death to just about anything. Keep in mind test rolls have already been cut and could be pretty old. The same is true with the hand samples...people wonder about my hand samples but I have to remind them that they are in my car in Michigan where it is 120 degrees in the summer and -20 degrees in the winter....a lot of those samples will pull away from the liner due to those conditions. Try using some on a job - I'd be surprised if you don't have a good experience. You are welcome to call me with specific questions as I can't sell you anything up that way.
