Friday morning the paint was only slightly sticky so I just ran with it figuring I could just tell people not to lean against it (only the outside was painted) It was 15 degrees warmer outside than it was the day before. Put on the rubber gloves and got all the panels mounted.
By 5:00 parade time they were completely dry to the touch....weird. The only wet places were the edges where the paint had pooled in the flutes. Worked out fine.
I'm chalking it up as a combination of temperature and red paint. Thanks for all the suggestions.
