In Flexi, not sure there are others but one way is:
Once your text is set on the curve the way you
want it use the "Convert to outlines" option under
the "Arrange" tab.
This will conver each letter to an object that can
be moved. Group or combine them if you want to move all as a single unit.
You won't be able to edit them as text any more so it might be better to do
this with a copy of the text string.
If you wanted to keep it as text-still linked to the path, you could
use the "verticle shift" option in the DesignCentral window to offset the string upward.
