duplicate placement in ver 12?

I was wondering if anyone here knows what happened to the duplicate placement control that used to be located at TOOLS>OPTIONS>EDIT in version 9. I switched to ver 12 a couple years back and i still can't find a way to set the spacing. Thanks for any info. I usually just lurk on this site but this is making me crazy so I thought I'd ask.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for. I use the transformation tool. Window/dockers/transformation/position. You can apply to duplicate and change the distance between each duplicate.

Thanks - that does help. It's similar to the "work-around" I've been using since I switched. I have been setting grids to the spacing I need then dragging a duplicate and snapping the objects into place. It seemed a lot easier in ver. 9 to just set it and hit Crtl D. Not sure when they changed it. I jumped from 9-12 without ever seeing a copy of 10 or 11.

I hate it when they move things around.

• You can change the offset at which duplicates are created. To do this, click Tools Options, click General in the Document list of categories, and type values in the Horizontal offset and Vertical offset boxes.

• You can also duplicate a selected object by pressing Ctrl + D.
