Still having a Flexi issue so I uninstalled it and am attempting to reinstall,
but there's a DVD drive issue now.

- it reads as if it wants to "auto-play" (spins fine)
- everything checks in device manager
- all drivers are up-to-date
- tried enabling and disabling in device manager
- downloaded Windows "Autofix.exe" (auto-play fix)
- went to "set program access and defaults" (nothing happened)
- no indication of drive connected in Explorer

It a relatively new drive.

its relatively dead..
Sound like the laser is gone. IF every thing else is correct that is..

Thank you Tech.
Now Windows will not boot with drive connected as slave.
Disconnect drive......and Windows boots fine.
Going to swap out IDE ribbon for kicks.
I'll be bok!

Alrighty then....definitely didn't hurt to throw in a new ribbon...
but it looks like it's the optical eye.
Thank you Techman!!!...although I would have come to that conclusion eventually.

We're proud owners of a brand new Light-Scribe and all is well.....
except Flexi which has been reinstalled and still will not open production manager.
