dx7 locked head?

I need to replace a printhead on a dtg printer and it has a dx7 head, while reading and looking for a replacement i came across these terms, first time locked, second time locked unlocked, what does it all mean, how do I know if the my printhead is unlocked, first or second time locked, the print head is for a viper 2 dtg printer

That has more to do with the DX5 heads. The DX7s are generally universal. We've got them in stock here in Denver. You know us as Signage Specialist BTW.
