Well after trying every way to revive my USB connection with my FC7000MK2-75 machine we ordered a serial cable and went the RS-232 route and it worked. Obviously, the USB and the Serial ports are separated on the main board just enough to shield one from another in case of a spike or whatever caused our original problem. I just wish that the Serial cable was twice as long as I had to relocate my cutter to another site which is much less accessible. Now if I could only flash the ROM with the serial cable. Oh well, at least I am back up and cutting vinyl again.
