Eco-Print Profile?

Received my first roll of Imprintables Warehouse Eco-Print today and went to the "My Versacamm" website to download the ICC profile for my Roland SP540v, however they did NOT have a ICC Profile for the Eco-Print material.

Anyone use the Eco-Print material with a Roland SP540v, what profile works best?

Thanks

You can use the Quick Print profile listed there.

Unfortunately we do not have access to the 540v any longer which is why we can't make a profile specifically for the machine. PLease feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you.

I print my share of that material using an Oracal 720^2 3651G profile, the one from Oracal. Works perfectly.

But then I print 99.9% of everything with that same profile. Because I know that unless you're trying to reproduce some work of art or another and you have the original sitting right next to the print for side by side stereoscopic comparison, as long as what comes out of the printer is predictable and looks good, whatever profile you used is just fine.

The operative word above is 'predictable'. As long as you know what the printer is going to do, you can make it do whatever you want. What comes out of the print is the truth. You should rely far more on your own digital pressmanship than rely on profiles constructed by beings whose concepts of what looks good and correct may differ wildly from your own.

Especially with heat press media. You're putting it on a t shirt or something ferchrissakes, not hanging it in the Louvre.
