edge caps and alumalite

How long will alumalite last without edge capping? Is everyone using the notcher or cutting manual? thanks

seeing as it's plastic, i don't think it'd be a big issue....i rarely cap my alumalite...only if it's gonna be somewhere that hands will be able to touch it...

ive had uncapped Alumalite out in the elements for at least 10 years now...still looks good.

Oh really, that is good to know. I have had it in my head that it will split from the plastic. Now I know, I do not have to edge cap everything. Thank you!!!

No, but it looks nicer with a finished edge.

I've found that the edge cap starts looking crappy a LOT sooner than the alumalite.
