Edge died

Hi..I have an original Gerber Edge that doesn't engage when I power up. Last time I used it it worked fine but now when I turn it on all that turns on is the fan. I tried changing the fuses but that didn't help. Anybody have any ideas/solutions.

Take the covers off and visually inspect the components inside. Check for loose or dirty connections. Next contact your Gerber distributor for help if needed.

Might be obvious, but check the outer cable connections as well. power/data.

At my old work I ran a Edge 2 that had a similar problem. Mine I could get going if I turned it on and off about 30+ times... then you would finally get the head to make it's moving sound when it turned on. If I did get it working it would be alright as long as you left it on. If you turned it off, same issue.

If I remember correctly, Gerber said it could be either the power supply or the main board going bad. It ended up being the main board. Luckily it was under service contract and they came out and fixed it.
