Edge FX Printing on Cling?

I've been asked to produce a few thousand labels for placing on the inside of a vehicle windscreen so the image shows correctly on the outside.

I know I saved instructions on how best to print these using the FX, but guess what? I can't find my instructions!!!

The label will be quite small with a yellow background and three black letter letters - so just two colours yellow background with black lettering on top.

Anyone able to give me some tips on how this should be deigned in Omega 5?

Thanks

John

You will need three spot colors: White, Yellow and Black. The white is needed so that your yellow will be opaque.

We would prepare the file as right reading with the white on bottom, yellow next with Overprint turned on and finally the black with Overprint turned on. When the job is sent to GSPPlot, we would mirror the image for reverse reading and also reverse the print order. The final label has all foils on the second surface so that no foil comes in contact with the inside of the windshield.

Thanks Fred & Jase

I set the job up today exactly as suggested and it worked perfectly :) Well, the yellow printed poorly for some odd reason!

Quick question:

I have to produce 2000 of these cling labels each 3cms in diameter. I've printed 300 at a go - The material usage was about 1400mm (55").

Each of the labels has to be cut on my GS-15 Plus. How accurate is the cutter? How many could I expect to cut in one hit?

Cheers

GS15 is okay, I'd run 5 metres without a worry. We regularly run 25 metres on our Envisions without any issues.

Thanks Jase, hope you're all keeping well and happy New Year to you all :)

We've purchased the shop just 3 doors down from us (opposite corner to the Beauty Lounge). It was really run down and we're in the process of making it usable and habitable!

Pop over sometime, be good to see you.

Cheers
