encoder strip replacement any tips? sp300v

Need to replace encoder strip, New one arrived today looks a little tricky right behind print heads. If anyone has replaced one I could use some tips or advice.SP300V.

I'd like to know the procedure for locating and cleaning the encoder strip sensor.

I have most of them

You may not need to replace it.

Most problems with it is being dirty.
Take the door and top cover off. The important part of the strip is sticking out the top of the frame. Use a dry soft tissue or something and wipe both sides . You have to move the head out of the way to get the entire strip.

thanks but i already did the cleaning deal,have new one in hand want to replace it besides they are cheap and mine is seven years old.

Ok, got a little impatient went ahead and and replaced it on my own,not a big deal 20 min first time. these things are like Harley Davidson's gotta work on them all the time
