Hello All,
I've been coming to this great website since I started my business nearly 2 years ago and I FINALLY took the plunge and registered.
I own a Roland SC-540 and it's giving me some odd banding that I can't get rid of. Seems like when I print fine lines it's not aligning all the colors correctly and it's most apparent when printing black colors. It's several years old (I think 2004) and the Encoder strip has never been replaced (though it has been cleaned). I bought two spare strips (none with holes) and was wondering if there is any notes on replacing them.
However the REAL reason I am posting is my vendor was kind enough to give me the service mode sequence and there is a "linear encoder" option. However when I try to access it, it gives me the error "remove sheet". Sheet or not it gives me the error. I contacted my supplier but he seems to be stumped on this matter. Will a faulty encoder strip give me this issue? I also seem to have a similar problem when I do the ENV MATCH option.
Any help would greatly be appreciated!
