End of Roll

Is it possible to recover from the 'end of roll' message on a Mutoh 1624x?

I have banner material that is wound pretty tight and gives an end of roll message when the printer can't pull it through. I rolled off plenty of media but was busy doing other things when the slack was taken up by the printer halfway through my print!

Can I recover this print and continue or do I need to start again?

Fed up of wasting material like this TBH!

You can re-calibrate the sensor in service mode. A lot of people just put tape over the sensor so it thinks it always has media. Just be aware that this introduces the possibility of the media actually being at the end and it will print on the platen until you notice it!
