Don't switch it off with the power button. Leave it on all the time and let it go to sleep. It can do its scheduled maintenance then. What do you mean by 'turn off'? I turn the printer off via the display, but it stays connected to power. Or do you leave it completely on and let it switch to standby mode?
I don't think you can adjust it without digging into the service menu/program. It cleans often enough to keep working well, but not so often that it wastes a bunch of ink if that's a concern to you.does anyone know how to set the self cleaning cycle? where can i find in the menu?
About 5 seconds before you're ready to hit print. Although mine has gotten better about not doing that to me.Mine only notifies me about once a month to do a head cleaning. It should be doing an automated cleaning every so often, not sure of the time cycle on that though.
Isn't that right! My S70670 was a lot worse about that. As soon as you stood up to go load vinyl into it it would start recirculating ink, and you couldn't do anything until it was done.About 5 seconds before you're ready to hit print. Although mine has gotten better about not doing that to me.
I think you can change it in the media settings on the printer. One of the last options should be "Periodic Clean CL"does anyone know how to set the self cleaning cycle? where can i find in the menu?
No. The machine just needs the main power to be left on standby. Don't fully power the machine off and it will clean periodically on it's own. No need for vinyl to be in it for the auto cleaning.Do you then leave a piece of vinyl in the printer? I think I read that it only performs the cleaning if a vinyl is loaded.
