Epson s80600 vs Roland VG3 vs Stratojet Hawk

Went to Printing United 2024 looking for a flatbed. Came home thinking about getting an additional roll to roll. Liked these 3 printers. Leaning toward the Epson although the Hawk is interesting because it’s water based and they claim 9cents per mil. Plus it is dry right way. We do a lot of stickers so this is of interest . Anyone own one that can give me some feedback about this printer?

I do a lot of stickers and the 80600 is great. Many, many sticker shops are running these with great success.

For plain ol' laminated stickers, you can get away with laminating in just a few hours if need be.

There's also the successor to the 80600, the yet to be released Epson S9170—Coming in 2025.

I’ve used Epson printers for stickers, and I’ve been pretty happy with them—great color and they work well with various materials. The Hawk’s water-based setup is interesting, especially if it really dries fast and saves on ink costs. I’d be curious to see how it performs in a busy shop since you do a lot of stickers. If you can, maybe try to get a demo or reach out to someone who has one for their experience.
