Both of these printers are waterbase inks type.
Use widely by Photographers to produce hi-fidelity images on Canvas, Water Color Paper, Matte Photo Paper, or even Dye Ink for Press Proofing printing. Indoor art gallery relate printings you will need these type of printers.

One is Ultra Chrome, the other just pigment without the Ultra Chrome branding.

Just think of Ultra-chrome ink as Gasoline with Nitrogen, and other without Nitrogen additives. This is a very bad example here may be , but you get the point.

( Mimaki JV33 has ability to use both water and solvent base inks. You just have to drain, and refill if your project is shift from one venture to another. But most Art Gallery related make plenty of profit per sq. ft. so they will never need solvent printing ability. )

Both of these printer can't do outdoor printing as good as those of solvent inks, unless you buy expensive media that has ability to lock the waterbase pigment, but it only can last about 3 months. Or you have to laminate your prints.

Intellicoat DMPPM7PSA , is one of the poster media for outdoor that has the ability to lock the pigment. Even if rain water drop on it, the color still won't run.
