Error importing vector files in 8.6

I have been using Flexi pro 8.6 for years and never had this problem. When I try to import an eps or ai file into flexi, I get "error importing file do you want to continue. yes no. If you click yes or no you go back to the work page and nothing happens. Even happens using files I have imported before. If I open the file in Corel Draw and copy and paste the image, the vector lines are wigilly and unusable. What do I do. Has anyone had this problem before? I hope this is clear enough to understand.

I get it too the odd time.... ai files do it more than eps

If this was only the odd time I could deal with it, but it is all of the time. I never had any problem until recently.
Any ideas.
