Error: Y Not Original (Ink)

I have a mutoh 1614 and the yellow ink was to be changed. I opened a new ink and inserted it. The screen display came up and said y not original. Has any had this problem? Should I return the ink and get another one? Any help would be apreciated.

clean the chip surface, the gold contacts.
This is actually the cause of many failures.

If it still errors out, contact your dealer for a new card.
Outline the old card with a marker or pen, remove and replace.

Thanks for the reply's. I took the cartridge back to fellers and they swapped it out. I installed it and problem fixed. They are also sending me some new cards to keep in stock for free just incase this happens again.
