Tim, you seem triggered by the term socialism being used in a less than gushing statement. I apologize for upsetting you and your beliefs. The holy grail of socialism is 100% tax as written and spoken by so many luminaries of the ideology over the last 170 years, so I thought it was a great explanation of the 110% sales tax example that otherwise has no reasonable explanation.

Regardless of the how the CDTFA came into existence, the point is that it has been implementing in relentless fashion new taxes. The CDTFA is proud of their tax hikes and they have plenty of documentation on the website of the new taxes as they implement them.

What this means is that we business owners in California are at an even greater competitive price disadvantage with other states. Look for more and more businesses to leave the state (our customer base).

No, I'm triggered by your ridiculous exaggeration of the entire premise and the introduction of some baseless, factually vacant conspiracy theory about some nefarious scheme to impose 100% taxes on people despite it never being done ANYWHERE on earth, let alone in California.

California, which I'll point out has climbed from the 7th largest economy ON EARTH to 5th in the last four years and SINCE Governor Brown AND the legislature reformed and retooled the tax collection body for the state. Let that sink in for a moment. Or for a lifetime if necessary. To climb two full positions in the WORLD economic ranking in less than four years means we as business people and our government must be doing something right.

Go peddle your crackpot, conspiracy theories to some other fools who don't care to inform themselves of the facts and truth of the matter. Or you can leave California for one of the low tax, low potential Shiitehole states that you neocons seem to think have their acts together better. Me, I'm staying right where opportunity abounds, major innovation occurs like nowhere else, incredible natural beauty is, and people for the most part are good and decent. People like you dump on the state all the time, but never leave and never do much to help fix things.

Unless you want to get reported for making personal insults and going off topic, just drop it. I'm not the topic and you know me or what my "ideology" is. Aside from being prone to extreme exaggeration, it seems like you are the one with some issues in need of working on. It's a really big state, with varying degrees of EVERYTHING. The only awakening I need to have is to add another person to my ignore list.

I guess the other fine business folks in my town who think I'm a good enough business person to recommend me to sit on the Board of Directors of our Chamber of Commerce for multiple terms have it all wrong.

Reality is that they either need to raise taxes across the board or stop spending so much money. Putting the burden of this clusterf*ck sales tax setup onto businesses is not how it should be done. I don't care either way which way it goes but I do appreciate properly rendered services (like schools) from tax money. Throwing bits and pieces into sales tax is nothing more than a way for politicians to escape hard work which is raising regular taxes or cutting budgets. It's about time for people to put on their big boy pants, I'm sick and tired of spending my work time being an admin to this dumb system.

No, I made serious critiques of his conspiracy theory based notions and the false information he is trying to pass off as fact, not him personally. Try putting your biases aside for a minute and actually learn how to distinguish between the two.

Actually, I could care less what Gino or even what you think. The admins keep asking us to stick to the topics. Someone goes off the rails, get confronted with proof that his ideas are aren't factual and then gets personal about it and you and the rest of the peanut gallery just keep the whole thing going.
